American Financial Consulting was founded in 2001 by Archish Maharaja.
Arch received his Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting and Auditing Degree in 1977, his Masters of International Business Management from Point Park University in 1981, and his Doctoral Degree from Duquesne University in 2010.
Arch's credentials include: CPA, CFP and PFS. He has served as the Treasurer of Western PA Health Information and Management Systems Society (WPAHIMSS) since 2005, has been on the Board of Trustees for the International Conference on Advances in Management (ICAM) since 2009, is a member or the Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative (PA eHealth), is the Ex-officio Treasurer of the Northern Tier Regional Library (NTRL) and is Secretary for the Indian Cultural Association of Pittsburgh. Arch continues to do extensive research on Healthcare Information Systems.
Prior to founding AFC, Arch worked with several companies, including Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where he gained valuable experience by developing sales and marketing strategies, implementing human resource and company operation policies, and managing the financial and accounting aspects of these firms. He also consulted for a major health system in Pittsburgh for two years.
